General Purpose This position performs benefits administration of domestic health and welfare benefit programs, 401(k) plans, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), recruiting, Applicant Tracking System (ATS), FMLA, workers’ compensation and ensures that the bank is in compliance with applicable laws and regulation.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities ♦ Comply with requirements of Signature Banking ♦ Assist with health and welfare plans including enrollments and terminations. Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate recordkeeping and proper deductions. ♦ Assist with scheduling new employee meetings to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions. ♦ Assist with maintaining Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database as needed. ♦ Assist with maintaining the integrity of the Personnel, Confidential, HIPAA and Terminated files. ♦ Respond to and review claims for unemployment. ♦ Assist with annual open enrollment. Arrange for distribution of materials from carriers, assist with communicating changes to employees and arranges for on-site representation. Process changes within deadlines. ♦ Assist with human resources procedures to initiate and terminate benefits timely. ♦ Perform benefits administration to include processing of monthly billings for payment. Review billings for accuracy, codes and advances for payment. Resolves discrepancies with carriers and payroll. ♦ Prepare government reports related to Affirmative Action Plan, EEO and Veterans compliance. ♦ Evaluates workers’ compensation injury and accident reports, ensuring the timely reporting to third party administrator. ♦ Serve as backup in processing payroll, maintaining full understanding of system requirements. ♦ Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports. ♦ Analyze quarterly tax review and annual tax reconciliation. ♦ Reconcile general ledger and DDA accounts related to payroll. ♦ Regular predictable absences
Other Duties/Responsibilities ♦ Performs the duties to process payroll as needed. ♦ Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. ♦ Demonstrate the ability to serve internal and external customers with a personal commitment to take ownership for the request and the relationship in compliance with the requirements of Signature Banking.
Knowledge ♦ Automated payroll, timekeeping, and applicant tracking systems preferred. ♦ Knowledge of payroll and accounting concepts, practices and procedures. ♦ Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and proficient in Word. ♦ Principles and practices of human resources. ♦ Working knowledge of the Workers’ Compensation Act ♦ Working knowledge of city, state and federal statutes and regulations.

Education ♦ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
