Full time – Temp to hire

Monday through Friday – 8am to 5pm

$32hr to $45hr depending on experience.

A leading technology manufacturer in Sun Valley, specializing in the design, production, and support of cutting-edge biomedical tools including vital signs monitors and patient simulators is looking for dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team.

Summary: Manufacturing Engineer has responsibility for sustaining engineering support for Production, Service and R&D Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides general sustaining engineering support to the manufacturing, service and R&D engineering teams.
  • Participate in new product transition from design to production.
  • Lead the development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, tools, fixtures and inspection to increase efficiency, flexibility, production, quality and dependability of existing products.
  • Evaluate processes, procedures, data, tools and fixtures to identify causes of specific quality & manufacturing issues that may affect production and quality, then work with Engineering, Production and Service to improve processes, tools and fixtures.
  • Communicate with engineering on product performance and functionality issues.
  • Work with Engineering to establish and maintain part and assembly specifications. Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; test finished product and process capabilities; establish standards; confirm manufacturing processes. Evaluate and improve production according to those specifications and quality standards.
  • Develop and manage part and assembly redesigns that will improve manufacturability and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Demonstrate equipment operations, fixture operations and train team members on new processes and design changes.
  • Document processes and systems while creating improvements.
  • Bringing to management any support issues that may need extra effort to resolve.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate operations and activities between departments.
  • Ensure electrical and mechanical product(s) assembly, adhering to production standards and metrics.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in products to the component level.
  • PCBA and sub-assembly testing and troubleshooting to component level.
  • Prototype design and fabrication.
  • New Parts and process sourcing.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Strict adherence to our quality system.
  • Work with limited supervision and follows written and verbal instructions.
  • Cover for absent staff or where volume dictates additional labor.
  • Any other work deemed necessary by supervisor or manager.
  • Training team members as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Electronics Engineering degree.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with advanced electronic systems.
