Property Maintenance

Location: Waterloo, IA
Pay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is partnered with a local property management company that is seeking a Property Maintenance to join their team. This position involves performing routine maintenance and repairs, maintaining building and grounds appearance, and providing excellent service to tenants. The ideal candidate will have maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including carpentry and general facilities work
• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Conduct inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment
• Maintain landscaping, snow removal, and exterior upkeep as needed
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues reported by tenants and staff
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
• Maintain records of repairs, materials used, and completed work
• Assist with unit turnovers, including painting, minor repairs, and cleaning

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of property maintenance experience required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong attention to detail
• Good computer skills
• Friendly, professional demeanor and ability to interact with tenants
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent walking, bending, stooping, and reaching
• Ability to remain active throughout the shift

Additional Information:

• No on-call responsibilities
• No weekend work required
