Spotter / Local CDL A Driver – 2nd Shift

 

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Spotter / Local CDL A Driver for a manufacturing facility in Elkhart, IN.

This position is responsible for safely moving trailers in the yard, backing trailers into docks, completing local deliveries as needed, and communicating with dock staff, drivers, and management.

 

Pay: $32.67/hr
Shift: 2nd Shift
Shift Premium: Additional $2.00/hr
Location: Elkhart, IN

 

Job Duties:

• Move trailers safely to and from loading docks

• Perform pre-trip inspections on trailers and equipment

• Report damage or unsafe conditions before trailers are released

• Coordinate trailer movement with dock supervisors, guards, and drivers

• Complete local deliveries as needed

• Assist with fueling and cleaning trucks/equipment

• Maintain electronic logs and delivery documents

• Keep equipment clean and operate safely at all times

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL required

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

• 6 months to 1 year of driving experience preferred

• Yard spotting and trailer backing experience preferred

• Must be able to pass DOT physical and DOT drug screen
