Our client in Marion, IA is looking for a Medical Equipment Cleaner!
Position Summary: This is a light, hands-on position focused on cleaning and preparing hospital beds, medical pumps, and other equipment before it is returned to the medical floor. The Equipment Processor will thoroughly clean, disinfect, inspect, and prepare each item according to established infection-control and safety procedures. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys independent, routine work and takes pride in doing a thorough job. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, able to follow detailed instructions, and skilled at noticing small flaws or areas that need additional attention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect hospital beds, medical pumps, and other healthcare equipment.
- Carefully inspect equipment for dirt, damage, wear, or other visible flaws.
- Follow established infection-control, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Properly use cleaning products, disinfectants, and personal protective equipment.
- Label, cover, and prepare cleaned equipment for storage, delivery, or use.
- Properly dispose of contaminated or soiled supplies.
- Complete required documentation for cleaning and disinfecting processes.
- Perform basic equipment checks after cleaning once properly trained.
- Keep the processing area clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Assist with preparing, loading, and unloading delivery vehicles as needed.
- Participate in training and follow all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning, sanitation, warehouse, production, or healthcare experience is helpful but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify small flaws or missed areas.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
- Able to take direction and consistently follow established procedures.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Comfortable working around used medical equipment and cleaning chemicals.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to learn medical equipment processing and infection-control procedures.
Hours:
- Full Time
- 1st Shift
- Monday – Friday
- 8:30am – 5pm
