Location: South Austin, TX 
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Wire Cutter / Warehouse Associate to join our distribution team. This role is responsible for accurately cutting and spooling wire, fulfilling customer orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping documents, and transfer orders to determine materials required for fulfillment.
• Operate wire-cutting equipment to accurately cut and spool various wire sizes.
• Track wire footage on stock reels and update wire identification tags as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock situations to management.
• Move materials and products from receiving areas to storage or designated warehouse locations.
• Scan, sort, and place materials on racks, shelves, and bins according to established inventory procedures.
• Pick and assemble customer orders from stock for shipment.
• Transport completed orders to packing or shipping areas.
• Prepare parcels and packages for mailing and shipment.
• Perform cycle counts and verify inventory quantities as requested.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of related warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and shipping documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Preferred

• Utility, electrical, warehouse, or distribution industry experience.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and machinery.
• Comfortable working in both warehouse and office environments as needed.

Dress Code & PPE

• Acceptable attire includes jeans, shorts, and T-shirts or other appropriate work shirts.
• Steel-toed boots are required.
