Position Summary

Our client, a global logistics and freight forwarding company, is seeking an entry-level Customer Service Representative – Air Freight Logistics to join its growing team in Elizabeth, NJ.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the logistics and transportation industry. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, computer savvy, and eager to learn the fundamentals of international air freight operations. Training will be provided, with the opportunity to grow into an Air Freight Broker or Freight Forwarder role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding air freight shipments

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner

• Track domestic and international shipments and provide shipment status updates

• Enter shipment information accurately into transportation management systems

• Coordinate with airlines, carriers, warehouses, and internal operations teams

• Prepare and process shipping documentation

• Assist with scheduling pickups and deliveries

• Monitor shipment milestones and proactively communicate any delays or issues

• Build strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service

• Maintain accurate records and documentation

• Learn air freight procedures, transportation regulations, and industry best practices

• Support the operations team with additional logistics and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or office experience is a plus

• Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software systems

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

• Comfortable handling a high volume of phone calls and emails

• Professional, dependable, and eager to learn

• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework is a plus
