Forklift Operator

Located in Fletcher, NC

Salary: $22/hr

A growing plastics manufacturing facility in Henderson County is seeking an experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join their production team. This role is key to keeping materials moving safely and efficiently across the warehouse and production floor. Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down counterbalance forklift to load, unload, and transport raw materials, finished goods, and packaging supplies
• Safely stage and move product between production lines, warehouse racking, and shipping/receiving areas
• Load and unload trucks and trailers accurately and efficiently
• Perform daily pre-operation forklift inspections and report any mechanical issues
• Read and follow production schedules, pick tickets, and bills of lading
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and labeling
• Keep aisles, racking, and work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Follow all safety protocols, including PPE requirements and pedestrian right-of-way rules
• Support general warehouse and production duties as needed

Qualifications
• 6+ months of recent, verifiable sit-down forklift experience required
• Current forklift certification preferred; willing to certify qualified candidates
• Experience in a manufacturing, plastics, or warehouse/distribution environment a plus
• Ability to read pick lists, labels, and basic production documentation
• Comfortable working around production machinery and moving equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for the duration of the shift
• Reliable attendance and strong safety mindset
• High school diploma or GED preferred

 

Monday-Friday 8am to 4:30pm with OT. $22/hr
