Our client in Chardon, OH is in search of a Shipping Receiving Clerk! #COH 

 

The Shipping and Receiving department's main objective is to perform accurate operation in the following tasks: Verify materials received to match specifications; prepare product for shipment following packaging and sales order instructions; maintain orderly department to ensure quality requirements and customer requirements are met. Must have experience using the StarShip Platform

 

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Using warehouse management systems, including Starship, EDI, UPS, and FedEx.
  • Operating motorized lift truck, and other material handling equipment.
  • Coordinating pick-up of freight as needed.
  • Preparing bills of lading: checking items against work orders to ensure quantities, routing, and destinations are correct.
  • Sorts, counts, labels, insures, unpacks, logs inventory as needed.
  • Follows all safety rules and works in a safe manner.
  • STARSHIP PLATFORM REQUIRED

Skill Requirements:

  • Understand and calculate using basic math, equivalent for a high school level.
  • Recognize and verify numbers; Ability to accurately count, sort.
  • Use a calculator to solve basic formulas.
  • Reading skills enough to understand and follow policies, practices, work instructions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Explorer. Accurate data entry skills.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems, including Starship, EDI, UPS, and FedEx.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift 25lbs; ability to work standing for an 8 hour shift.
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs to retrieve parts, if necessary
  • Able to operate motorized material handling equipment, after training and certification.
  • Able to operation computer work station.

Compensation adjusted based on previous experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.09 per hour
