Job Title: Road Foreman

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Road Foreman to lead field crews in the installation and
maintenance of transportation signage across the state of Mississippi. This role is
responsible for overseeing daily job site operations, ensuring projects are completed
safely, on time, and up to DOT standards.
This is a hands-on leadership position. You’ll be in the field, managing crews,
coordinating logistics, and making sure work gets done right the first time.
Key Responsibilities:
? Lead and supervise crews responsible for installing roadway and traffic signage
? Plan daily work schedules, routes, and job assignments across multiple project
sites
? Ensure all work complies with state and federal DOT regulations and safety
standards
? Operate and oversee the use of equipment such as post drivers, lifts, and hand
tools
? Read and interpret site plans, traffic control plans, and work orders
? Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and DOT representatives as
needed
? Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques and safety
practices
? Conduct job site inspections and ensure quality control standards are met
? Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and crew
performance
? Troubleshoot field issues and adjust plans to keep projects on track
Qualifications:
? 3+ years of experience in roadway construction, traffic control, or sign installation
? Prior leadership or foreman experience strongly preferred
? Strong understanding of DOT standards and roadway safety regulations
? Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and traffic control layouts
? Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not always required)
? Willingness to travel extensively throughout Mississippi and work in outdoor
conditions
? Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage crews in a fast-paced
environment
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have):
? Experience with MUTCD guidelines (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices)
? CDL or experience operating work trucks and trailers
? OSHA certifications or safety training
? Experience working with state or municipal DOT projects
