Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in Lutz, FL to hire an experienced Senior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys owning the month-end close process, partnering with operations, and contributing to financial reporting and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Accountant, you'll be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the financial records for an assigned entity while supporting key accounting and financial reporting functions.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the monthly and quarterly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger and intercompany accounts, identifying and recommending necessary adjustments.
• Manage the fixed asset register, capital expenditure accounting, and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare and post accruals and prepaid expenses while reconciling balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Complete monthly account analyses and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations using OneStream.
• Generate customer invoices and assist with accounts receivable collections as needed.
• Prepare and file monthly multi-state sales tax returns.
• Analyze cost of sales variances and collaborate with Operations to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts, including variance analysis.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing requested documentation.
• Participate in the annual physical inventory process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with ERP systems is required.
• Experience with Epicor and/or OneStream is preferred.
• CPA or MBA is a plus but not required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
