Bulk Chemical Handler

Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Bulk Chemical Handler to join our team. This position is responsible for the safe loading, unloading, handling, and packaging of bulk chemicals while following all company safety procedures and industry standards.

This is an outdoor position, and candidates must be comfortable working outside in various weather conditions throughout the year. 

Job Duties

• Safely load and unload bulk chemicals from tank trailers and storage containers.
• Prepare containers and equipment for daily chemical handling operations.
• Verify product labels, packaging information, lot numbers, and container sizes.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper grounding and bonding of equipment and tank trailers.
• Inspect totes and drums to ensure they are clean and suitable for filling.
• Fill containers to required volumes and properly seal them according to company specifications.
• Apply and replace labels accurately and neatly.
• Store completed products in designated areas.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials throughout the facility.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Wear all required PPE and comply with company safety standards at all times.
• Assist coworkers and supervisors as needed.
• Work overtime when required. 

Qualifications

• Prior bulk chemical handling experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Hazmat training and respiratory protection training are advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance. 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in environments with high noise levels, chemical vapors, and other industrial conditions.
• Must be able to wear a respirator when required.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors year-round and in seasonal weather conditions.
