Quality Technician
Location: Champaign, IL

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections and testing throughout the manufacturing process.
• Work alongside the chemistry lab to verify formulations and ensure recipes are mixed in the correct proportions.
• Measure product density and verify products meet EPA registration requirements (within required tolerances).
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
• Monitor production processes and identify quality concerns before products move forward.
• Understand and operate PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and laboratory teams to resolve quality issues.
• Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing quality or laboratory environment preferred.
• Manufacturing or production experience required.
• Quality assurance or quality control experience preferred.
• Experience operating or working around automated manufacturing equipment.
• Understanding of PLC-controlled equipment is a plus.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Machine operation experience is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures.
• Comfortable working with measurements, documentation, and quality standards.

Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or another science-related field is welcomed.
• Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply, even without prior industry experience.
