Location: Waterloo, IA
Pay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (1st Shift)

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Waterloo. This full-time position is responsible for operating printing presses and die cutters to produce corrugated products while maintaining quality standards, production goals, and workplace safety. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate printing presses and/or die cutters to manufacture corrugated products
• Follow all established safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Monitor product quality and ensure quality control standards are met
• Drive production efficiency and performance of assigned machine center
• Record production data and statistics within the ERP system
• Learn and understand paper properties, press setup procedures, and color management
• Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed
• Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Troubleshoot minor issues and communicate concerns to supervisors as needed
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals

Qualifications:

• Previous machine operator or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Stand and walk for the majority of the shift
• Frequently use hands to adjust, manipulate, and inspect products
• Frequently reach with hands and arms
• Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
