Machine Operator / Inspector

Salary: $18/hr.

We are currently hiring multiple Machine Operator/Inspectors. This role is responsible for inspecting finished paper bags to ensure they meet company quality standards and customer specifications. This role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to identify product defects, and a commitment to maintaining quality throughout the production process.

 

Shifts

Day | 7am-7pm rotating days

Nights | 7pm-7am rotating days

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished paper bags for quality by manually reviewing each hand of bags on the inspection table
• Examine sealed ends for defects including open seals, double or triple bags, crooked folds, turn backs, and other defects
• Inspect every other hand of bags when working alongside another inspector to maintain consistent quality standards
• Remove and discard defective or poor-quality bags that do not meet production specifications
• Repair salvageable bags using a glue gun when appropriate
• Communicate quality issues or production concerns for corrective action
• Transport pallets and boxes between storage and production areas as needed
• Maintain accurate quality standards while meeting production expectations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures, and housekeeping standards

 

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, production, machine operation, or quality inspection experience preferred
• Willing to submit to drug and background screening
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive inspection tasks
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials as required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to report quality concerns promptly
• Dependable attendance and a commitment to workplace safety and quality
