Financial Controller - Direct Hire

Salary: $140,000- $150,000 annually

Financial Controller 

A global manufacturing company located in Manchester, MI, is looking for a Financial Controller . This is a DIRECT HIRE position where the ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment.

What you’ll be doing as a Financial Controller

• Direct end-to-end plant financial operations—including cash management, AP/AR, CAPEX, and inter-company transactions—and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations to maintain strict internal controls.
•  Lead the annual plant budgeting process, collaborating across departments to align operational targets with financial forecasts.
• Oversee accounts receivable aging and work closely with team members to resolve collection issues, optimizing overall cash flow.
•  Direct physical inventory counts, establish accurate inventory valuations, and manage local external audits through complete execution of corporate audit packages.

What you’ll need to succeed as a Financial Controller 

• 5+ years directing full plant finance functions within auto manufacturing, leading team of 4+ direct reports.

• Hands-on experience navigating and managing financial workflows in AS400 environments (CMS/Solarsoft).

• Proven track record supporting and managing IATF 16949 quality audit requirements.

• Finance/Accounting Bachelor degree (CA, CMA or CPA designation preferred)
• High School diploma or GED

• $140,000- $150,000 annually based on experience
• M-F, 8am-5pm flexibility as needed
