Fractional Senior Accountant (Part-Time)
Location: Placentia, CA
Schedule: Part-Time – Approximately 30 hours per month (flexible schedule)
Pay Rate: $45.00–$65.00 per hour (DOE)

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Fractional Senior Accountant to provide ongoing accounting support on a part-time basis. This individual will oversee month-end accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and assist with forecasting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Sage 100 and be able to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Complete account reconciliations.
• Balance sub-ledger modules to the general ledger.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and reports.
• Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
• Identify process improvements and maintain accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with management regarding financial performance and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a Senior Accountant role.
• Hands-on experience with Sage 100 is required.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
• Experience preparing financial statements and forecasting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Manufacturing or distribution accounting experience is a plus.
• Experience working in a fractional, consulting, or contract accounting capacity is preferred.
