Warehouse & Delivery Associate
Location: Longview, TX, may transfer to Kilgore location.
Pay: $17/hr. (DOE)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse & Delivery Associate to join our team in Longview, TX. This position combines warehouse operations with local delivery responsibilities. The ideal candidate will assist with receiving inventory, filling customer orders, maintaining stock levels, loading delivery vehicles, and making deliveries within our approximately 50-mile service area.
This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy, and is committed to providing excellent customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Review customer orders and accurately pick materials for delivery or customer pickup.
- Fill and stage orders for customers and delivery routes.
- Load trucks safely and securely for delivery.
- Receive incoming inventory and verify quantities and condition of materials.
- Check in received materials and assist with inventory control.
- Restock warehouse shelves and maintain proper inventory levels.
- Keep warehouse areas organized, clean, and safe.
- Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
Delivery Responsibilities
- Deliver materials to customers within our approximately 50-mile service area.
- Operate a company-provided 1-ton truck equipped with a pipe rack.
- Load, transport, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries.
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
Additional Driving Responsibilities
- No Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Be willing to learn and occasionally operate a non-DOT 26-foot box truck after receiving company training.
- A weekly Mesquite route is typically handled by a dedicated driver and is not a primary responsibility of this position.
- The ability and willingness to drive the 26-foot box truck on rare occasions for coverage purposes is preferred.
Qualifications
Required
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
Preferred
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Forklift knowledge and operating experience.
- Experience receiving inventory and stocking warehouse shelves.
- Experience loading and securing materials for transport.
- Experience operating delivery trucks or box trucks.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift and move materials.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the day.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment.
