Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a Bindery Operator!

Position Summary: Our client is leader in the print, marketing, and mailing industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Bindery Operator. This role is responsible for setting up and operating mailing/bindery equipment to ensure the accurate and efficient production of printed materials. You’ll work as part of a production team to meet customer deadlines, ensure quality standards, and support smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate bindery/mailing equipment according to job specifications and postal regulations
• Coordinate scheduling for addressing, inserting, and sorting mail pieces
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal operation
• Monitor job quality and ensure projects meet customer expectations
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment and workflow issues
• Maintain accurate data entry and follow proper safety and operational procedures

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in bindery, mailing, or print production preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and basic computer tasks
• Knowledge of postal regulations is a plus
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 7am – 3:30pm

Pay:

• $18–20/hour
