Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a Retail Support Production Lead!

Position Summary: The Retail Support Production Lead supports daily salvage and recycling operations by leading employees, coordinating production activities, and ensuring clothing and other donated materials are properly sorted and processed. This position works closely with the Salvage Manager and plays an important role in keeping reusable materials out of landfills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and provide daily direction to temporary employees and team members
• Oversee salvage sorting and textile baling operations
• Help employees stay on task and meet daily production goals
• Operate a textile baler, forklift, pallet jack, and trash compactor
• Load and unload trucks and move materials throughout the warehouse
• Maintain accurate payroll, inventory, and production records
• Assist with daily communication, scheduling, and material planning
• Help develop and carry out short-term and long-term production goals
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Model and enforce company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• At least two years of full-time work experience in a related field preferred
• At least one year of leadership, management, or supervisory experience preferred
• Previous production, warehouse, or quality control experience
• Ability to train, motivate, supervise, and lead employees
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable completing basic math and production calculations
• Ability to organize schedules, analyze reports, and coordinate multiple priorities
• Valid Iowa driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and an acceptable driving record
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, AED, and forklift certifications as required
• Must successfully complete the required background screening

 

 

Hours:

• 7am – 3:30pm
• Monday – Friday

Pay:

• $20–21/hour
