Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications when troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; and examining the form and texture of parts.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Utilize hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
• Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; and verifying receipt.
• Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• May initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, with a focus on electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and electrical components.
• Experience in machine setup and maintenance services.
• Ability to repair electrical equipment.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and practices.
