Busbar Electrician

Location: Slidell, LA
Pay: $28/hour

We are seeking an experienced Busbar Electrician for a position in Slidell, LA. This role is responsible for installing, replacing, rewiring, and setting up electrical aluminum panels and busbar systems used in electrical distribution equipment.

Responsibilities

• Replace and rewire electrical components and systems
• Install and set up electrical aluminum panels
• Assemble, install, and maintain busbar systems
• Work with conductive bars made of copper and aluminum
• Install and inspect support insulators, connectors, and protective enclosures including busways and bus ducts
• Read and follow electrical schematics, blueprints, and specifications
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with electrical codes and company standards

Requirements

• Valid Electrical License required
• Prior experience as a Busbar Electrician or in industrial/commercial electrical work
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, switchgear, panels, and substations
• Ability to safely use electrical tools and equipment
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking, standing, and lifting
• Ability to work in industrial environments
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as needed

Pay

• $28 per hour
