Location: Vernon Hills, IL
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM CST
Hours: 40-hour work week
Overtime: Available regularly but not mandatory

Our client is seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse Order Picker & Packer to join their distribution team in Vernon Hills, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and pack customer orders using a hand cart
• Utilize pallet jacks to move materials
• Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently
• Operate a sit-down forklift
• Operate a cherry picker/order picker with safety harness to retrieve and store materials in warehouse racking (experience preferred but not required)
• Roll and package laminate sheets and other materials
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Accurately follow warehouse procedures and inventory practices

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience with similar duties
• Previous sit-down forklift experience required
• Cherry picker/order picker experience preferred
• Good communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods (3-4 hours at a time)
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
• Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures
• Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible and willing to adapt to changing job duties
