We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Temporary Web/Digital Designer to support our marketing and digital communications efforts. This position combines web management, digital design, email marketing, and e-commerce support to help drive sales, engage our community, and promote our organization's mission and values. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, experience managing websites and digital marketing tools, and enjoys collaborating with a creative team to deliver engaging online experiences.

 

Key Responsibilities

Website Management & Design

• Design and develop visually appealing, user-friendly web pages, including layout, structure, and navigation.
• Maintain website content and staging environments for team review and approval.
• Process and organize product and promotional data into structured, reusable libraries that support website merchandising and current specials.
• Ensure website content aligns with accessibility standards and best practices.

Email Marketing

• Build, schedule, and deploy email marketing campaigns.
• Maintain and segment email subscriber lists.
• Monitor campaign performance and provide reporting and recommendations based on analytics.

Digital Event Support

• Manage digital infrastructure for events using established templates, including:
• Landing pages
• Registration forms
• Ticketing systems
• Checkout processes
• Automated confirmation emails

Digital Asset Management

• Maintain an organized, searchable digital asset library for marketing materials and photography.
• Ensure all digital assets are properly archived and accessible to team members.

Brand & Creative Support

• Implement brand guidelines across digital channels in collaboration with the Lead Graphic Designer.
• Help maintain a consistent visual identity across web, email, and other digital platforms.
• Capture and edit photography for digital marketing campaigns (preferred but not required).

 

Qualifications

Required

• Degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong design skills with an eye for layout, typography, and visual communication.
• Experience working with content management systems such as WordPress.
• Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or similar tools.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and digital user experience best practices.
• Experience maintaining website content and digital marketing assets.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Preferred

• 2–3 years of professional web design experience.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms, including product setup and checkout configuration.
• Front-end development experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent design software.
• Photography and photo-editing experience.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $25-30/hour DOE
