Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring dependable Material Handlers for a full-time 1st Shift opportunity in a warehouse environment. This position focuses on order picking, quality control, packaging, and material handling while supporting a growing distribution operation.

We are seeking motivated candidates who enjoy staying active throughout the day and are comfortable working in a hot warehouse environment where standing, walking, bending, and lifting are constant.

Responsibilities

As a Material Handler, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manually picking customer orders accurately using pick tickets.
  • Meeting daily productivity goals while maintaining accuracy.
  • Verifying orders by checking item numbers, quantities, and product descriptions.
  • Performing Quality Control (QC) inspections before orders are packaged.
  • Packaging completed orders securely for shipment.
  • Placing completed packages onto the conveyor system for shipping.
  • Assisting with inventory organization and warehouse housekeeping.
  • Walking throughout the warehouse to retrieve products efficiently.
  • Working in multiple warehouse areas based on production demands.
  • Following all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Prior warehouse, material handling, or order picking experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a hot warehouse environment.
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the entire shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to meet daily productivity expectations while maintaining quality.
  • Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Warehouse and material handling experience.
  • Order picking and packing.
  • Quality Control (QC) and order verification.
  • Inventory organization.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts & Hours

  • 1st Shift
  • Monday – Friday
  • 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Full-Time
  • Overtime may be available based on production needs.
