A growing Central Illinois organization is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to support core accounting functions with an emphasis on fixed assets, depreciation, and general ledger accounting. This position offers a flexible schedule and is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end and year-end reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain fixed asset records and related schedules

· Calculate and record monthly depreciation and amortization entries

· Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger

· Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies

· Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes

· Support financial reporting and account analysis activities

· Maintain accurate supporting documentation for accounting transactions

· Assist with audits and requests for financial information

Qualifications:

· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

· 3+ years of accounting experience preferred

· Experience with fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and general ledger functions

· Strong understanding of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

· Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
