Part-Time Customer Service Associate – Local Hardware Store
Location: Yuba City, CA
Pay: $18.00–$20.00/hr

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a well-established local hardware store in the Yuba-Sutter area to hire a Part-Time Customer Service Associate. This opportunity is ideal for someone with excellent customer service skills who enjoys helping customers in a fast-paced retail environment.

Gun store or hunting experience is a plus, but not required. The primary focus is finding someone with a strong customer service background, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.

Schedule

• Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Thursday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Position Overview

As the first point of contact for customers, you'll provide outstanding customer service by answering questions, processing purchases, and helping customers find the products they need. You'll also assist with stocking merchandise, maintaining an organized sales floor, and supporting daily store operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Process cash, credit, and check transactions accurately.
• Assist customers with product selection and general inquiries.
• Stock shelves and maintain clean, organized sales areas.
• Support inventory control and merchandising.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements

• Previous customer service and cash handling experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a busy retail environment.
• Gun store or hunting experience is a bonus but not required.
• Reliable and dependable with excellent attendance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform light physical tasks as needed.
