Batch Maker / Production Machine Operator (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Kansas City Metro
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Pay: Starting at $19-20/hour
Type: Temp-to-Hire

 

A well-established manufacturing company is looking for a dependable Batch Maker / Production Operator to join their team. This position is responsible for operating a powder mixing system used to manufacture specialty construction products.

This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing, production, machine operation, forklift, or warehouse experience. Previous batching experience is helpful but not required. The company is willing to train someone who is dependable, willing to learn, and able to follow instructions.

What You'll Do

• Operate a computerized powder mixing and batching system
• Follow production instructions and batch recipes
• Weigh and add ingredients to production batches
• Monitor production equipment and ensure product quality
• Complete production paperwork and batch records
• Assist with material handling and forklift operation
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Work with the production team to meet daily production goals

What We're Looking For

• Strong attendance and reliability
• Ability to follow written instructions and production procedures
• Basic computer skills
• Manufacturing, machine operation, warehouse, or production experience is helpful
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Regular lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
• Ability to work in a dusty manufacturing environment
• Ability to work in hot summer and cool winter conditions

Work Environment

• Powder mixing and manufacturing operation
• Dusty environment at times
• Face masks and PPE provided
• Steel-toed boots preferred
• Jeans or khaki work pants required
• No shorts or sweatpants
