Salary: $24-$26 an hour

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join an established organization based in Port Coquitlam. This is a part-time and permanent opportunity within a large mechanical company and starts ASAP for the right fit.

Qualifications & Experience: 

• Minimum 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within construction, trades, or mechanical services industry
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems) and strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Solid understanding of accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with internal teams and vendors
• Professional references will be required, and a background screening will be conducted for candidates moving forward in consideration

Role Responsibilities: 

• Process high-volume accounts payable and receivable transactions on a daily/weekly basis
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities
• Maintain accurate financial records, postings, and journal entries
• Support payroll preparation and expense tracking as needed
• Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments (operations, project teams, and administration) regarding billing and payment inquiries
• Assist with reporting and provide administrative accounting support to the team
• This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager

• 2 weekdays per week, flexible on which days
• 8:00am - 4:30pm
• $24–$26 per hour, commensurate with experience
