1st shift Warehouse Associate #1836
Are you a motivated, hands-on professional with expertise in material handling and local delivery? Join our team for a multi-faceted role that combines expert metal processing, warehouse logistics, and customer deliveries.
Pay: $20 per hour
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
This role requires a combination of in-yard material handling and local driving duties.
Forklift Operation: Expertly drive a sit-down forklift to safely move, locate, relocate, stack, and organize various metal materials and products around the warehouse.
Shipping & Receiving: Load and unload incoming vendor trucks and outgoing delivery vehicles.
Inventory Control: Receive, identify, and stock new materials; assist with inventory organization and cycle counts.
Order Picking: Accurately pull and prepare customer orders from stock.
Delivery Driving: Drive a 20ft flatbed truck to safely and punctually deliver custom metal orders to local customers and businesses.
Customer Service: Provide professional customer service during deliveries and vendor pickups.
Vehicle Checks: Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on the flatbed truck.
Cutting & Fabrication: Cut customer materials to precise specifications using metal cutting equipment, such as saws and hydraulic shears.
Measurement: Utilize measuring instruments (tape measures, calipers) to ensure the highest level of dimensional accuracy.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Current Forklift Operator Certification (or verifiable experience and willingness to certify immediately).
Prior knowledge of different metals is helpful but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate!
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately use measuring instruments.
Comfortable with physical labor and able to frequently lift/move heavy materials.
