Commercial Cleaning & Construction Cleanup Technician

Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a Commercial Cleaning & Construction Cleanup Technician!

Position Summary: Join an established and growing cleaning company that has been creating clean, safe, and healthy environments since 2003. This combination role supports both routine commercial janitorial services and construction cleanup projects throughout the Cedar Rapids area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, stays active throughout the day, and takes pride in leaving spaces clean, safe, and organized. Responsibilities will vary based on the location and project, so candidates should be flexible and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine janitorial duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas
• Empty trash containers and replace liners
• Clean windows, mirrors, floors, and other surfaces
• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed
• Clean and maintain construction and demolition sites
• Remove debris, scrap materials, dust, and other waste from work areas
• Safely collect and dispose of construction materials
• Help keep job sites clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Follow established cleaning procedures, safety requirements, and job-site guidelines
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply shortages to a supervisor
• Ensure assigned areas meet company quality and cleanliness standards

Qualifications:

• Previous janitorial, commercial cleaning, construction, or general labor experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift for extended periods
• Comfortable working in both occupied businesses and active construction environments
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable transportation and consistent attendance
• Flexibility to work at different locations and complete a variety of assignments
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn

Hours:

• Full-time
• Candidates should have flexible availability based on project needs
