Driver Helper/General Labor

Located in Prairie Du Sac, WI

Salary: $20 - $21/hr

Our client, a well-established sanitation and waste collection company, is seeking hardworking Driver Helpers / General Laborers to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work, working outdoors, and being part of a team that helps keep the community clean.

 

This position is expected to run through the end of October, with the potential for longer-term employment for the right candidate. 

 

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 5:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Frequent overtime available
• Approximately six holiday weeks per year require Saturday work

 

Responsibilities

• Ride along with the driver on residential and commercial waste collection routes
• Collect and load garbage into a rear-load sanitation truck
• Safely lift, carry, and empty trash containers throughout the route
• Ride inside the truck while traveling between stops over 10 mph
• Work efficiently in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
• Follow all safety procedures and work as part of a team to complete daily routes
• Maintain a clean and professional work environment

 

Qualifications

• Ability to repeatedly lift 60–70 pounds throughout the day
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work for extended periods
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Previous experience in general labor, warehouse, truck loading, construction, landscaping, moving, or other physically demanding roles is preferred
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
• Ability to work overtime as needed

 

Pay

• Competitive pay of $20.00–$21.00 per hour
