Express Employment Professionals is hiring an Affordable Housing Property Maintenance Technician. This position handles work orders, unit turns, repairs, and property upkeep across residential housing locations.

Candidates must have a reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and their own tools. Previous Section 8, public housing, affordable housing, or multifamily maintenance experience is strongly preferred.

What You Will Do

• Complete maintenance work orders in occupied housing units
• Prepare vacant units for inspection and new occupancy
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting repairs
• Repair doors, locks, fixtures, hardware, and damaged property components
• Troubleshoot appliances and building systems based on experience
• Inspect units and document maintenance conditions
• Travel between assigned properties using a personal vehicle
• Track completed work, materials, and unresolved repair needs
• Communicate respectfully with residents and housing staff
• Follow property access, safety, and documentation procedures

What We Are Looking For

• Professional property, apartment, residential, or building maintenance experience
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Valid driver’s license
• Personal set of maintenance tools
• Ability to perform repairs across several basic trades
• Section 8, affordable housing, or public housing experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently and organize daily assignments
• Professional judgment when entering and working in occupied homes
