Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: Madison, WI
Pay: $26.00–$28.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift

About the Opportunity

Express Employment Professionals is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician for a growing manufacturing facility in the Madison area. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

We're looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys solving problems, working with industrial equipment, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
Install, assemble, disassemble, adjust, and align machinery and mechanical components.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and recommend effective repairs and improvements.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Assist in the selection, installation, and startup of new equipment.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to instrumentation, equipment connectivity, and automation processes.
Support automation and continuous improvement projects throughout the facility.
Maintain and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Perform basic troubleshooting of electrical systems as needed.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with OSHA regulations and company environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.
Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment issues with the production team.

Qualifications

Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pneumatics and hydraulics.
General knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
Experience installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work around industrial equipment throughout the shift.
