Express Employment Professionals is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk on behalf of a growing manufacturing company in the Guelph area.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative accounting team where you'll play a key role in managing vendor invoices, payment processing, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Accounting
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Match invoices to purchase orders, packing slips, and approval documentation.
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system.
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Track payment due dates and assist with weekly payment processing.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end accounts payable activities.
Vendor & Internal Support
- Communicate with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies and obtain missing information.
- Work closely with purchasing, operations, and accounting teams to verify pricing and deliveries.
- Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and in a timely manner.
- Support reporting, audits, and financial record accuracy.
Team & Process Support
- Assist with continuous improvement of Accounts Payable processes and procedures.
- Maintain organized financial documentation and filing systems.
- Support the accounting team with additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as required.
- Contribute to a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of Accounts Payable experience.
- Manufacturing experience is considered a strong asset.
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes, invoice matching, and vendor reconciliations.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach.
