Assembly Production Technician

If you enjoy working with your hands in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this is the role for you. Express Employment Professionals is hiring assembly production technicians for our client, a local furniture manufacturer. This position requires prior assembly or manufacturing experience and the ability to use a variety of hand and power tools in a noisy environment that is not climate controlled.

Job Highlights:

• 2^nd (2pm-10pm Monday-Friday) and 3^rd (10pm-6am Sunday-Thursday) shift
• $20.50 per hour for 2^nd shift
• $21.50 per hour for 3^rd shift
• Temporary with the possibility of hire

Job Summary:

This position involves operating assembly machinery and tools for assembly of furniture, whether it be final assembly or parts production. Duties may include loading or unloading parts from the machine, trimming, installing accessories such as wheels, cushions, etc., or packaging and stacking finished products.

Job Duties:

• Safely operate automated and manual machinery for part production (presses, drill machines, robots, box banders, stitchers, vacuum lifts, and any other equipment on the line)
• Inspect parts produced and ensure high quality
• Use hand and power tools to add accessories and assemble parts (drills, riveters, impact tools, screw drivers, wrenches, etc.)
• Load and unload materials from machines
• Wrap, stack, and palletize finished products

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of manufacturing, assembly, machine operation, or general labor experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanically inclined
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50lbs repetitively throughout the shift
