Express Employment Professionals is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist on behalf of a growing manufacturing company in the Guelph area.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative accounting team where you’ll play a key role in invoicing, collections, customer account management, and maintaining accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Accounting
- Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and on time.
- Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on overdue payments.
- Apply payments accurately and reconcile customer accounts.
- Maintain accurate AR records, logs, and supporting documentation.
- Investigate and resolve customer account discrepancies.
- Prepare aging reports and support weekly AR summaries.
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts receivable.
Customer & Internal Support
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding payments, statements, and account status.
- Work closely with sales, operations, and accounting teams to verify billing information.
- Support cash application, reporting, and audit requirements.
- Assist with improving AR processes to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring timely payment follow-up.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of Accounts Receivable experience.
- Manufacturing or packaging industry experience is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of AR processes, invoicing, collections, and account reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle customer payment discussions professionally.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Proactive, organized, and team-oriented approach.
