HR & Payroll Coordinator

Express Employment Professionals is conducting a confidential search for an experienced HR & Payroll Coordinator on behalf of a growing manufacturing company in the Guelph area.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team where you'll play a key role in supporting Human Resources operations while managing payroll for both Canadian and U.S. employees. Key Responsibilities

Human Resources & Administration

  • Support the recruitment process, including job postings, interview scheduling, and onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Track employee attendance, vacation, and benefits.
  • Assist with training coordination, policy updates, and internal communications.
  • Respond to employee questions and provide day-to-day HR support.

Payroll & Compliance

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time for both Canadian and U.S. employees.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. payroll legislation and employment standards.
  • Maintain payroll records and prepare payroll-related reports.
  • Coordinate payroll summaries, adjustments, and reporting with the accounting team.
  • Support payroll audits and continuous process improvements.

Team & Administrative Support

  • Work collaboratively with management and department leaders to support HR initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
  • Assist with additional HR and administrative responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Human Resources and/or Payroll experience.
  • Experience processing both Canadian and U.S. payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. payroll legislation and employment standards.
  • Experience with payroll software such as ADP, Ceridian, or similar.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
