Sheet Metal Apprentice (HVAC)

Salary: 20.00+DOE

A local HVAC company is seeking a full time HVAC apprentice to add to their commercial team. If you have a good attitude, strong work ethic and consider yourself to be dependable and are looking for more than just a job, this is the opportunity for you.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• You will work closely with job site foreman to install heating, ventilating, and piping systems.
• Operate Power tools
• responsible for cleaning all components of HVAC systems: ducts, diffusers and air handlers and condensers.
• Setup and tear-down of all equipment at the job site, including protecting work areas, running hoses, securing ladders etc.
• Repair of Ducts
• Operation of cleaning equipment such as wet/dry vacuums, high pressure air hoses, and electric drills.
• Maintaining and reporting any deficiencies of vehicle and equipment.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• HVAC and Construction experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50+lbs.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl, and twist regularly
• Must be okay with going into tight spaces
• You may be have to work in very challenging conditions

Apprenticeship Details:

• Four-year paid apprenticeship with HVAC company and RCC. 50% of the term fees are paid for you.
• Along with working 40 hours a week you will be required to attend class one night a week and one weekend a month with summers off.
• Upon successful completion wages will increase $28+ an hour with room to grow.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Passing grade in Algebra 1 or Math 65 in high school or college class work
