Marketing Associate

Location: North York, ON
Salary: $60,000–$70,000/year
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
Contract: 4-month contract with opportunity for extension

 

Our client, a global leader in the precision optics, medical technology, and advanced manufacturing industry, is looking for a Marketing Associate to support the execution of customer-focused marketing initiatives, product launches, sales enablement programs, and account activation activities.

 

This role will work closely with Sales, Product Management, Professional Affairs, and external partners to coordinate marketing materials, customer programs, events, and communication initiatives that support business growth and customer engagement.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about bringing marketing strategies to life through strong project coordination, content development, and cross-functional collaboration.

 

Responsibilities:

Customer Marketing & Sales Support

  • Support the execution of customer engagement programs and marketing initiatives
  • Assist sales teams with customer-facing materials, promotional activities, and marketing resources
  • Coordinate localized marketing activities for key customers and business priorities
  • Support customer communications and account activation programs

Product Launch Support

  • Assist with product launches and commercial activation initiatives
  • Coordinate the creation and distribution of launch materials, presentations, sales tools, and promotional assets
  • Adapt approved global marketing content for local market needs
  • Support launch planning, readiness activities, and project tracking

Marketing Communications & Content Coordination

  • Coordinate the development and updating of marketing materials, including:
    • Sales sheets
    • Presentations
    • Brochures
    • Email communications
    • Digital assets
    • Event materials
    • Promotional collateral
  • Ensure marketing materials align with brand guidelines and approved messaging
  • Maintain version control and organized marketing asset libraries

Event & Program Support

  • Support the planning and execution of customer events, webinars, conferences, trade shows, and educational programs
  • Coordinate event logistics, registrations, communications, and materials
  • Assist with post-event follow-up and reporting activities

Agency & Project Coordination

  • Coordinate communication with external agencies and vendors
  • Manage project timelines, feedback collection, and approval processes
  • Track deliverables to ensure projects are completed on schedule
  • Maintain organized records of marketing assets and completed projects

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain marketing trackers, asset libraries, and project documentation
  • Support budget tracking, purchase requests, and vendor coordination
  • Assist with reporting and documentation for marketing initiatives
  • Provide support for cross-functional marketing projects as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, event coordination, or customer marketing
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools is an asset
  • Experience supporting marketing campaigns, events, or customer programs is preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural business environment
  • Ability to lift and move products/materials up to 25 lbs
