A respected local organization is seeking a dependable Janitorial Rover I to provide coverage and support across multiple locations while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service are maintained.

The Janitorial Rover plays a critical role in ensuring all contracts are serviced properly while assisting fellow team members and supporting quality assurance efforts.

Job Description

The Janitorial Rover I provides janitorial support at multiple locations and assists with maintaining contractual cleaning standards across assigned sites. This position works independently with minimal supervision while also supporting supervisors, lead workers, and fellow janitorial staff to ensure adequate coverage and high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities include quality inspections, troubleshooting cleaning concerns, communicating with customers and management, filling staffing gaps, and responding to emergency coverage needs when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine janitorial duties and maintain facilities to industry standards.
• Travel between multiple buildings and contracts to provide cleaning coverage and support.
• Conduct daily quality inspections and complete quality assurance reports.
• Assist with maintaining inventory, supplies, and equipment condition.
• Ensure janitorial closets remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
• Secure facilities, set alarms, and ensure buildings are properly locked each night.
• Communicate site issues, customer concerns, and operational needs to leadership.
• Train and support new janitorial employees on proper cleaning techniques and procedures.
• Assist with reducing overtime and ensuring staffing coverage needs are met.
• Provide support during special projects, deep cleaning assignments, and emergency call-outs.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-3 years of professional janitorial experience required.
• Previous lead or shift lead experience supervising 2-3 employees preferred.
• Experience working with individuals of varying abilities preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance required.
• Ability to pass customer and company background checks.
• Ability to pass required drug screenings.
• Comfortable operating janitorial equipment and cleaning machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.

Work Schedule

Hours will vary based on customer contracts and coverage needs.
