Our Ajax client, a global manufacturer and supplier of self-adhesive label materials, is looking for a Packing Operator to join their growing team!

Responsibilities:

• Operate packing machine, manipulator, and other material handling equipment to ensure products are packaged accurately and efficiently
• Allocate coils and finished products according to customer orders and production requirements
• Sort, stage, and organize pallets
• Set up and operate semi-automatic stretch wrapping equipment
• Perform manual wrapping of skids
• Pick finished goods and packaging materials based on packing lists and customer specifications
• Verify product identification, labeling, and pallet configuration prior to shipment
• Conduct quality checks on products prior to shipment
• Adjust machine settings and operating parameters when needed
• Report equipment malfunctions, process issues, and quality concerns to the appropriate personnel
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Comply with all company safety, environmental, and operational procedures
• Adhere strictly to all safety, environmental, and company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• 1-2 years of experience operating a Packing Machine
• Experience working in a Manufacturing, Production, or Industrial environment operating machinery
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer skills for data input

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience in the paper, packaging, printing, or paper-converting industry (asset)
• Experience with slitting, rewinding, laminating, or finishing processes (asset)
• Great work ethic, and positive attitude

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• Training: 6:30am to 3:00pm
• Rotational Shift: 8:30am to 5:00pm / 10:30am to 7:00pm
• Pay Rate: $24 per hour
