Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Temporary Remote Customer Service Representative for a 2–3 month assignment. This role is ideal for a reliable, self-motivated individual who enjoys working with customers and is comfortable spending a significant portion of the day on the phone.

The successful candidate will handle high call volumes, perform outbound cold calling, take detailed messages for service technicians and company personnel, and provide exceptional customer service while working efficiently across multiple software systems.

Essential Responsibilities

• Answer and operate a multi-line phone system professionally and efficiently
• Make outbound cold calls to customers and individuals who have expressed interest in company products or services
• Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls daily
• Take accurate and detailed messages for service technicians and company staff
• Input customer orders to ensure accurate processing and delivery
• Establish, organize, and finalize new customer accounts
• Enter and maintain customer and lead information within company systems
• Store and manage incoming lead information for future follow-up opportunities
• Work swiftly and accurately within multiple software platforms to locate and enter information
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers
• Provide excellent customer service while remaining calm and professional under pressure

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous customer service experience
• Prior data entry experience
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications
• Ability to handle large call volumes
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable and dependable work ethic
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Ability to multitask effectively
• Ability to perform basic calculations and mathematical functions
• Strong organizational skills

Preferred Skills

• Previous call center or high-volume phone experience
• Experience with outbound calling or lead follow-up

Physical & Equipment Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
• Ability to remain productive with minimal supervision in a remote environment
• Ability to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced setting
• Regular use of computers, phones, and copier/fax systems
