Order Desk/Customer Service Representative

 

To support our dynamic growth we are looking for an Order Desk/Inside Sales Representative to work in our Cambridge office.

 

The Order Desk/Inside Sales representative is responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products as well as communicating effectively with co-workers within the organization – sales, inventory management, warehousing and distribution, product specialists, and technical support.

 

Job Tasks:

  • Using exceptional email and telephone skills, serve customers in the high technology industry by providing timely and accurate product information to establish. maintain and advance the customer relationship
  • Ensure customer orders are processed and filled per the customers’ requirements.
  • Coordinate activity with inventory management, warehouse and distribution, factory production and accounts receivable
  • Resolve product or service performance issues by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
  • Contribute to team effort through identification and effective implementation of process and system improvements as well as backup to other Customer Service Representatives.
  • Prepare product and service performance reports by collecting and analyzing customer data.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years customer service experience in an office environment
  • 1-2 years college or technical education; College degree desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous experience with online ERP systems
  • Experience with Dynamics D365 preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships by providing high customer satisfaction with superior service.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications - verbal, written communication and active listening skills
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve customer issues with a sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow through, manage multiple accounts and provide sales support.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Self-starter, self-motivated and consistent performer at a high level.
