Human Resources Manager

 

Reports To: Sr. Director of HR & General Affairs

 

Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager oversees and supports HR operations, employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits administration, compliance, and workforce development. This role ensures effective implementation of HR policies, programs, and practices while supporting organizational goals and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention activities.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions and organizational staffing plans.
  • Administer compensation programs, salary reviews, and market benchmarking.
  • Support performance management, employee coaching, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee employee benefits administration and employee communications regarding available programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop, maintain, and recommend HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage HR records, documentation, and reporting systems.
  • Audit OSHA logs and reports and coordinate workers' compensation claims and records.
  • Recruit, train, and develop HR staff as needed.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources management experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS/ATS platforms.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as business needs require.

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office-based work involving prolonged computer use and sitting.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 51 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and navigate workplace environments as needed.
