Shipping Clerk / Customer Service Representative

Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour (increase upon permanent hire)

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk who also possesses strong customer service representative (CSR) skills. This role is responsible for handling shipping and receiving duties, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent support to customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, package, and ship outgoing orders accurately and efficiently
  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments
  • Create and process shipping labels, packing slips, and related documentation
  • Maintain accurate inventory and shipment records
  • Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and resolve delivery issues
  • Assist customers with order questions, shipping status, and problem resolution
  • Provide professional phone and email support (CSR duties)
  • Enter and update data in shipping and order management systems
  • Ensure compliance with company shipping procedures and safety guidelines
  • Support warehouse or office operations as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong customer service (CSR) experience or demonstrated ability to handle customer interactions
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry
  • Basic computer skills (email, shipping software, Microsoft Office or similar systems)
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities under deadlines
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to lift and move packages as required
