Warehouse Worker

Salary: $18.25

Our client, a reputable specialty food products supplier in Ottawa's vibrant East End, is seeking motivated Warehouse Workers to join their dynamic team! This 3-month contract role comes with the exciting possibility of becoming a permanent member of the team.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Previous experience in order picking and warehouse operations is highly valued
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures
• Exhibits meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Proven ability to work effectively in both independent and team-based settings
• Possesses a positive and adaptable attitude, with a strong willingness to learn and grow
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs, with stamina to perform repetitive tasks
• Forklift certification and experience is considered an asset
  

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Receive and inspect shipments, verifying quantity and quality
• Store products in designated areas, maintaining organization and accessibility
• Handle physical inventory, lifting up to 50lbs
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as electric and manual pallet jacks
• Prepare orders for shipment, picking and packaging products according to client orders
• Generate shipping labels and documents, and attach to packages
• Load packaged products onto trucks for timely delivery
• Perform inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy
• Rotate stock to maintain First-In-First-Out (FIFO) inventory management
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment
• Adapt to additional tasks and responsibilities as needed

The wage for this position is $18.25 per hour.

Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:00pm – must be flexible as shift may change to afternoons – 1:00pm to 9:00pm
