Data Analyst

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, locally owned organization with multiple operating locations throughout the region. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to support the accuracy, integrity, and reporting of financial and operational data across the business.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large datasets, identifying trends, reconciling information, and creating reports that support informed business decisions. The successful candidate will possess advanced Excel skills, strong analytical abilities, and a natural curiosity for understanding how data connects across various systems.

What You'll Do

• Extract, import, and manipulate large volumes of financial and operational data.
• Build and maintain reports using advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Reconcile financial data with bank statements and internal reporting.
• Identify discrepancies, research variances, and ensure data accuracy.
• Analyze trends and provide meaningful reporting to management.
• Support data imports, exports, and system reporting across multiple business locations.
• Work with internal software systems to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity.
• Collaborate with accounting, operations, and leadership to improve reporting processes.
• Assist with technology-related reporting and troubleshoot data issues as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, data validation, filtering, and working with large datasets).
• Experience manipulating data exports ("data dumps") from business systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable reconciling financial information and researching discrepancies.
• General understanding of business systems and technology; prior IT or systems experience is a plus.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Accounting, finance, business, information systems, or related experience is helpful, but we're open to candidates with equivalent hands-on experience.
