Job Title: SMCS Project Specialist – Repair Option Conversion

Pay: $23 - $27/hr DOE

Assignment Duration:
Project anticipated to run through December 2026

Schedule:
Monday-Friday
7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, analyze, and convert existing repair options into Caterpillar-compliant SMCS structures
• Evaluate labor standards, parts requirements, and repair strategies to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Standardize repair options using approved SMCS coding, labor operations, service options, and repair methodologies
• Validate labor hours and parts lists against Caterpillar service standards
• Utilize Caterpillar systems such as SIS 2.0, Service Options Calculator (SOC), and ERP systems
• Develop quality assurance procedures and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
• Collaborate on a high-impact initiative focused on improving estimate accuracy, service consistency, and operational efficiency

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technical Services, Project Management, Construction Equipment Technology, or related experience preferred
• Experience with Caterpillar systems, SMCS coding, service operations, or heavy equipment repair processes preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical documentation and maintain data accuracy
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives or root cause analysis is a plus
