Maintenance Technician / Porter

Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring a Maintenance Technician/Porter for a commercial real estate company in Naples, Florida. This is a

temp-to-permanent opportunity for a dependable, hands-on individual with general building maintenance experience.

Location: Naples, FL
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Employment Type: Temp to Perm

Job Responsibilities

Inspect and maintain common areas, stairwells, rooftops and exterior areas
Pick up debris, sweep, blow walkways and remove cobwebs
Empty trash receptacles and maintain clean property grounds
Perform light landscaping and remove fallen branches or palm fronds
Replace light bulbs and check or adjust light timers
Complete pressure washing and gutter cleaning
Perform minor drywall repairs, painting and ceiling tile replacement
Complete basic plumbing, flooring, fence and carpentry repairs
Install signs and signposts
Clean vacant commercial spaces
Respond to and troubleshoot minor leaks
Test emergency lighting and complete routine roof inspections
Maintain clean and organized electrical, elevator, fire panel and storage rooms
Assist with emergency cleanup and additional property maintenance needs
Respond to occasional after-hours emergency calls when required

Qualifications

Previous commercial property or building maintenance experience preferred
Comfortable using power tools and maintenance equipment safely
Valid driver’s license with a clean and safe driving record
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
Professional, dependable and detail-oriented
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
Willingness to travel between properties when needed

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and reach throughout the workday
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; heavier items may require assistance
Comfortable working from ladders and lifts
Ability to work outdoors and remain on your feet for extended periods
